yourareunearthlything: controlsfortheheart: Deadline reports that Michael Fassbender has officially signed on to star in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor.  They say that Brad Pitt, Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper are being looked at for the villain role. The film written on spec by author Cormac McCarthy (The Road, No Country For Old Men) focuses on a lawyer who tries his hand in the violent drug trade. It’s been tagged with being “No Country For Old Men on steroids”. Considering the Old Men villain role lead Javier Bardem to earn an Oscar I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pitt re-team with both Fassbender and Ridley.  Jeremy or Bradley as the villain. No Brad Pitt again,please. If it’ll be Brad Pitt that will be the third movie they’re in together :P Just a note about Brad: he’s the one who totally talked up Michael’s name in Hollywood after they were in Basterds together. It’s good to have friends in high places.
